Financial Aid - Recreation
MYS offers financial aid for registration fees to qualifying players participating in the Recreation Program. All award decisions are made by the Financial Aid Committee and application information will be kept confidential.Â
Applications
The financial aid application is done online during the player registration process in PlayMetrics. Once the application questions have been answered and required supporting documents have been uploaded, a notification will be sent from the system to the committee and they will review the application. Do NOT complete your player registration until you hear back from the committee. You will receive a communication stating whether you are being offered an award or not and your invoice will be adjusted accordingly. At that point, you will be able to login and finish your registration. Questions can be sent to recreationfinancialaid@mcleansoccer.org.
Deadlines & Seasons
Award decisions will be made on a rolling basis as the applications are received with the deadline for submission two weeks before the start of the season. Applications received by the fall deadline will be considered for an award for both the fall and spring seasons.

Applications received in the spring will only be considered for a spring aid award. All applicants must re-apply each fall season to be considered. Applications received first may receive preferential consideration based on the availability of aid funds.
Eligibility
Any MYS member is eligible to apply for financial aid. Qualification is primarily based on verified family income. Other factors such as unemployment or other financial hardships may also be considered by the Financial Aid Committee.
Amount of Aid Award
The MYS Board of Directors determines the amount of financial aid available for a season; however, there is no obligation to award all/any of the award pool. Based on the amount of the award pool and the amount of requests for financial aid, awards will be made based on verified family income. The maximum amount of an award to an individual shall not exceed 100% of the MYS registration fee for Recreation players.
