MYS 01B Green Team State Cup 2018-2019 Champions
Congratulations to our 01 Boys Green team on their VYSA State Cup Championship win! After falling short in back to back finals against Arlington, the team prevailed in this 2018-2019 Championship game. Despite being down 1-0 at halftime, a tactical change in formation by Coach Portillo inspired the comeback and an early second half equalizer by Winston Agbara provided the boys with new energy. With seconds left in stoppage time, Alan Portillo delivered a flawless cross from a corner kick which was flicked on by Kiyaan Chavoshi and then netted by Shai Neal. This win brings the 01 Boys Green team one step closer to their ultimate goal of winning a national championship. Good luck to the coaches and players on their next stop at Regionals!
