Spring 2024 Registration
The MYS Spring 2024 registration is open. Registration is for players ages U3-U19 with U3-U5 at $155 and an early bird fee of $175 for U6-U10 and $165 for U11-U19 through January 31, 2024.
- The MYS recreation staff strives to accept all players interested in joining the club. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests for team placement and practices, however, we cannot guarantee requests.
- Early registration requests will be easier to accommodate (i.e. returning to a former team).
- The MYS Recreation program does not permit travel program players (Travel team or Juniors U8 players) to participate at the recreation level.
- Players who are registering for the Spring season now must pay BEFORE being assigned to a team.

Birth Date Verification:
MYS requires that Recreation players U6 and older must have their date of birth verified. All players must register with the age group that matches their birth year. MYS does not allow recreation players to play up. During registration, it will be required to upload each player’s birth certificate or valid, non-expired passport. This is required once for each player going forward and will not be a requirement for returning players, only new players each season.
Registration Deadlines
Deadlines are dependent on age group:
- U3-U5 registration will continue until the program has reached capacity.
- U6-U10 registration deadline to be guaranteed placement on a team is BEFORE March 1, 2024.
- U11-U19 registration open until NCSL R team capacity is reached. Players who register prior to February 1, 2024 are guaranteed a roster spot.

Non-Fairfax county residents will be assessed an additional $30 non-resident fee per player per season as required by Fairfax County Park Authority.
Families with financial need are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid.

U6-U10 Recreation Fees include the following:

- Two MYS jerseys (one home and one away) *Players who participate in the Fall are expected to use the same jerseys for the Spring season as well. If they need a replacement for the Spring, jerseys can be purchased at PJs Soccer in Falls Church for $10/jersey. Players joining in the Spring without prior participation in the Fall will receive a new set of jerseys.

For the 2023-2024 season, U11-U19 player uniforms will no longer be provided by MYS. Families will be responsible for purchasing the MYS Recreation Uniform kit directly from PJ’s Sports in Falls Church, VA. The kit will cost approximately $25 for youth sizes, $28 for adult sizes, and will include both a home and an away jersey. Socks and black shorts are not included in the kit. To offset the cost for families this year, MYS has reduced the registration fee for SFL players by $10. In late June/early July, those who are registered will receive instructions about how to order the uniform kit.
Referee Information: There is a nationwide shortage of referees, impacting various sports, including soccer. You can read more about this issue here. If anyone is interested in helping as a referee, they can register here. As an incentive, McLean Youth Soccer offers bonuses and incentives for referees officiating throughout the season. Also, in advance of games, the club notifies coaches of games that do not yet have an assigned referee so they can prepare a volunteer referee.
