Academy Director

Zachary Samol brings two years of U.S. Soccer Development Academy experience as a Head Coach of U-15/16 and U-17/18 teams within the Development Academy program.  He is the Assistant Coach at Georgetown University.  Prior to joining the coaching staff at Georgetown, Samol was an assistant coach at Yale University and Boston College.  He played his collegiate soccer at Dartmouth College, graduating in 1998 and was a 1997 All-Ivy League selection. Following his graduation, Samol played professionally from 1998-2003.  Samol holds a USSF "B" National Coaching License.

Head Coach – U-15/16 Team

Michael Madigan is an assistant coach at George Washington University.  Madigan recently moved from Minnesota where he coached at the Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault, MN. While at Shattuck-St. Mary's, Madigan worked as an assistant with the 2008 U-18 Boys US Youth Soccer National finalists and assisted with the development of over 20 NCAA Division I players. Madigan was the assistant coach at Penn State Behrend and played professionally with USL's Minnesota Thunder.  Madigan served as the Director of Coaching for the Sibley Sting Soccer Club, and was a Minnesota ODP State Staff Coach for 10 years. He currently holds a USSF A license, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and a NSCAA Level III (National) Goalkeeper Coaching Certification.

Head Coach – U-17/18 Team

Ed Beach was most recently the Technical Director with the Great Falls Soccer Club, and has been a club coach in Northern Virginia for the past 13 years winning three consecutive State Cup titles with the GFA ’91 Elite. While at GFSC Beach developed the GFA premier program - a program which has been very successful in preparing and placing many players at the collegiate level. As a B license coach, he has also worked with the Northern District ODP program and was an assistant coach at George Mason University and Salisbury State University.  Beach played collegiate soccer at George Mason University.
