Welcome to the McLean Fury Gold 

Fury Gold has started preparing for the U15 season. The team was promoted to ODSL Div 1 and will be working hard to prepare for the upcoming Fall Season.

The core of the team has returned, but 5 players either moved or decided to not return (4 of them as original members!) - we will miss you Katie, Caroline, Kate, Aerryn, and Kat.

The team welcomes two former Great Falls players, Olivia and Rachel (who have guested with the team) and two former Fury White players, Katherine and Anna. All 4 girls will be great additions who will bring a lot of experience and talent to the team.

The team will be playing 2 pre-season, 1 mid-season, and 1 end of season tournament.

McLean 95G Fury Gold, rising U15 ODSL, Division 2 -- welcomes hard working and dedicated players to tryout for its 2010 - 2011 team by attending the following tryout sessions.  Advance registration for tryouts is preferable, but not required.  To obtain a tryout registration form or to talk about the team, contact Jeff White, Manager, Fury Gold at jwhite923@yahoo.com or Patrick Finney, Coach, at coachpfinney@gmail.com .  It is recommended that a player participate in at least one Fury Gold tryout session, even if the player is trying out for other McLean Youth Soccer (MYS) teams.  Players should wear a white t-shirt, bring a ball, and water to tryouts.

The team has improved as the season has sped by - inconsistent performances mixed with good performances have been the team's story this season.

However, in the grand scheme of things the girls are 11-1-3 for the past two seasons. The team has improved after focusing on less kickball and possession - each player has worked hard this season, and they are improving individually and as a team.

The girls are participated in the Virginian Tournament, during the Memorial Weekend - and playing in mid-June in Hagerstown.

Fury Gold participated in the Columbus Day Tournament down in Virginia Beach, finishing 3rd with a record of 1-1-2.

The girls played well against good opponents but ultimately fell victim to two late tying goals that kept them out of medal contention.

Opponents: Richmond Strikers, Great Falls Fusion, Thunder MD, and VA Rush Peninsula
