Mike grew up playing soccer from the age of 5 in California, North Carolina, and Virginia.  A travel player for JASA (NC), Atlantic (Now VA Rush) and Beach FC, all-district defender and team Captain at Tallwood HS with offers to walk-on to Division I programs, Mike chose instead to play (American) Football at the College of William & Mary.  While at William & Mary for undergrad and graduate work he was a National Player of the Week, All-Conference and All-State performer, as well as a member of the W&M Football Walk-On Hall of Fame.  Since graduating Mike coached in a variety of age groups, including the MPS/MYS ‘94B and ’96B, before being selected to take the '98 Boys.

Jaon has played and been a fan of the game of soccer his entire life. Born in London, England, Jaon moved to Washington D.C., and grew up playing in the NCSL.  He has served as Head Coach for the VYSA Olympic Developmental Program (ODP) for the 91 & 92 Girls teams, Assistant Coach for 95 ODP Girls team and Assistant Coach within the VYSA Academy. He has served as a trainer for teams in the Super-Y League and the Dallas Texans and was previously the Director of Coaching at Reston Soccer.
