The MSP 96 Fire Green is a McLean, Virginia based U14 team playing in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) Division 1. They are professionally coached and trained by Trevor Parker. The Fire Green trains year-round and competes in the Virginia State Cup competition as well as top level local and national tournaments.
The Fire Green training program provides a dual emphasis on individual skills development and team tactical training which allows our players to develop to their full potential.
The McLean MPS Fire wrapped up their pre-season tournament schedule competing in the OBGC Capital Cup tournament. The level of competition was high and the Fire were up to the challenge, finishing undefeated in the preliminary round including a 3-1 win over the 2010 VA State Cup champions. While the Fire's run was extinguished with a loss in the semi-finals, the event provided a good opportunity to prepare for the upcoming NCSL season.
The McLean 96 Fire opened the 2010 season at the August Cup tournament at the Maryland Soccerplex. The event served as the venue to a successful start with the Fire finishing as the championship runner-up in the top tournament bracket.
