McLean MPS Strikers
Welcome to the website of the McLean MPS Strikers, a U15 girls' soccer team coached by Clyde Watson and German Peri. The Strikers are members of McLean Premier Soccer (MPS).
The Strikers are champions of WAGS Division 1 for the Spring 2009 season. They have finished among the top three teams every season, and they are consistently ranked among the top teams in Virginia and Region 1 by Gotsoccer, Mathman, and National Soccer Ranking.
The Strikers are looking to add impact players at all positions for Fall 2009. Players interested in trying out should attend a practice session in June. Practices are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Lewinsville Park, 1659 Chain Bridge Rd., McLean. Fall 2009 Tryouts

MPS Ranked #7 in U.S. for Girls' Soccer

McLean Premier Soccer was recently named the #7 club in the U.S. for girls' soccer by Soccer America magazine. This is the second consecutive year that MPS has attained the #7 ranking.

2008 State Cup Finalists

The Strikers finished as finalists in the 2008 Virginia State Cup. In a championship game that was as close as the score suggests, the Strikers fell 1-0 to the Chantilly Burn. Congratulations to both teams on a great game. Congratulations are also due to the U18G McLean MPS Freedom and the U16B McLean MPS Hurricanes who won their respective divisions.

Strikers Win Discovery Cup

The Strikers won the 2008 Discovery Cup in convincing fashion. The team won all four games, scoring eight goals while conceding just one. Washington Freedom players Lori Lindsey and Becky Sauerbrunn presented the trophies to the team.

Super-Y League North American Finals

This summer, the Strikers played for the U14 Washington Freedom Super-Y team. The Freedom finished first in their division, with a record of 13-1-0. The team will travel to Tampa for the North American Finals in November.
