The McLean Pre-Academy program offers an intense commitment to development, as well as competition against the top clubs in the region. Offered to players born in 1996, 1997 and younger, the program exposes talented and aspiring players to the training methods, expectations, and staff of McLean Academy. The McLean 96 Pre-Academy is trained by Coach Alex Pinto.

The McLean 96 Pre-Academy made a strong showing at the 2011 Disney Soccer Showcase. The team finished in third place in the powerful Pre-Academy division after winning the consolation match against their local rivals the Baltimore Bays Chelsea. Playing against competition from Texas and Ottawa in the preliminary round, McLean finished with a 2-1-0 record to advance to the next round. In the final match, they jumped out to an early 1-0 lead but Baltimore proved resiliant, bouncing back with two goals to take the lead. McLean then tied the match in the second half to force a penalty kick shootout to decide the match. Behind strong goal keeping and accurate shooting, McLean claimed the match after 10 rounds in the shootout. Game photos from the Disney event can be found on the PHOTOS page on this site.
The McLean Pre-Academy 96 team has been training intently this fall in preparation for their initial season of competition in the Northeast Pre-Academy League. The season begins on November 5th with a home match against Match Fit Chelsea.
The McLean 96 Pre-Academy will play against some of the best competition in the country in the Disney Soccer Showcase in Orlando December 27th-30th. The tournament is rated the number 1 youth soccer tournament in the country.
