Spring 2014- Wednesday Night Training

Wednesday night training is included in the club fees for the following teams:

  • U9 -12 Boys and Girls
  • U13 - U18 Girls (ECNL and Green)
  • U13 - U16 Boys Green and White
  • U17 - U18 Boys  Green Teams

Players who are on teams which do not participate Wednesday night training, are encouraged to register for Monday night travel training sessions (available for an additional fee) if they seek additional training.

Spring 2014 dates:

  • March  12, 19, 26
  • April  2, 9, 23, 30
  • May 7, 14

Location:  Lewinsville Park # 2 and # 3 (when available)

Wednesday Night Training - Session Times by Age Group

U9 and U10 Boys and Girls 4:00 -5:30 pm
U11 and U12 Boys and Girls 5:30 - 7:00 pm
U13 and U14 Boys and Girls 7:00 - 8:30 pm
U15 and up Boys and Girls 8:30 - 10:00 pm

Spring 2014 - Travel Training and Keeper Training Dates

The eight (8)  week Travel Training and Goalkeeper Training Sessions will be held again this Spring. Players must be on an MYS Travel Team in order to particpate.

Travel Goalkeeper Training ($100)

6:00 to 7:00 PM

The curriculum for the goalkeeper training program includes low and medium diving, basic shot handling, angle play, dealing with crosses, breakaway techniques and tactics, foot skills, deflecting, boxing and distribution while focusing on building proper technique during goal scoring opportunities.

Travel Player Training Programs (U13-U18) $150

Monday Night Travel Training

5:30 to 7:00 PM

Under the direction of MYS/MPS Technical Director, Clyde Watson, this program provides additional player development opportunities for any MYS travel teams and individuals.

Each evening will also be devoted to a different soccer-specific theme, including but not limited to, principles of 1 v 1 defending, bending balls (banana kicks, etc), creating space in the final third, finishing (volleys), defending the give-and-go pass and shielding, heading (offensive and defensive), chipping and finishing (free kicks).

Explosive Performance will also work with players on agility, fitness and core strength.

Space is limited to 75 participants per session and applications will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. All participants must bring ball, plenty of fluids and be dressed in appropriate soccer attire, including cleats and shin guards.
