The MYS Recreation Program provides youth ages 5 - 19 in the McLean area an opportunity to have fun while playing soccer with other players in the area. In the fall and spring seasons, U6 and up players train weekly, and play in a game each weekend. TOPSoccer brings the opportunity of learning and playing soccer for young athletes with disabilities. For more information about the various components and opportunities for a Recreation player, please visit the Recreation Program pages.
The MYS Travel Program provides all components of competitive youth soccer for boys and girls in an environment that promotes excellence, sportsmanship, self-confidence, and respect to ensure that each player achieves their soccer goals, realizes their full soccer potential and fall in love with the game of soccer. The Travel Program consists of varying levels of play for the young athlete - Travel, Premier, Elite - increasing in level of play, level of competition, and level of commitment required. All levels within the MYS Travel Program are coached by professional coaches under the same coaching structure and philosophy led by the MYS Technical Directors and the team of Age Group Directors.

The McLean Youth Soccer travel program consists of various components, including Team Training, Individual Training Opportunities, and League and Tournament Play.
Players must try out each year to be considered for a team roster. Once selected by the technical staff, the player commits to one seasonal year (August – July) of participation with the team.
McLean Youth Soccer offers a range of teams for players based on level of play and commitment. Players should carefully review information about a team prior to trying out.
Team Training: Travel teams in MYS typically train 2-3 times a week throughout the fall and spring seasons. Higher level teams may train year-round with more frequency.
League and Tournament Games: McLean Youth Soccer travel teams participate in a number of leagues. Placement in these leagues is determined by the technical staff and reflects the team’s level of play and level of commitment.
