TWO MPS TEAMS WIN REGION 1 CHAMPIONSHIPS

Strikers and Dragons Advance to National Championship

The MPS U16G Strikers and MPS U18G Dragons each won the US Youth Soccer Region 1 Championships during play in Barboursville WV. The two teams now advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championship to be held in Overland Park KS.
The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series is the country's most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, providing approximately 185,000 players on more than 10,000 teams from US Youth Soccer's 55 State Associations the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.

"F" & "E" Coaching Modules

Spring Training Sessions Offered

 

MYS is pleased to be offering the “F” and “E” Coaching License Modules in advance of the Spring 2010 Season.
Please review the Modules MYS is offering before the season starts and make sure you are up-to-date with your training.
Please send Trevor Parker, MYS Assistant Technical Director, an email to pre-register    trevorp@mcleansoccer.org or if you have any questions about the Modules.
 
"F" License Modules         Saturday, March 13 - One Day
 
U6 to U10 Licensing
 
F License Check-In:  Spring Hill Gym  8:00 AM.  Front door to school and side gym door will be open.
 
U6 – U8 Age Group Module - 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM
U10 Age Group Module -        8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
 
Location will be Spring Hill Elementary School Gym and Field behind the school. This training is free for MYS coaches - $40 per coach for non MYS coaches - Instructor Gary Allen.
 
If you have not taken the “F” module yet that relates to the age group you are coaching, for U6 to U8 coaches that means the U6-U8 Module, and are a returning coach, then you should take it in March.
 
U10 Module is appropriate for U9 and U10 Coaches and Assistant Coaches.
 
 
"E" License Module             Friday, March 19 thru Sunday, March 21
 
Please Note: All (3) sessions must be attended to be licensed.
 
Friday, March 19th:   
6:00 PM to 9:30 PM               McLean High School - Room #187
 
Saturday, March 20th:        
9:00 AM to 5:30 PM             
Cooper Gym and/or Churchill Elementary School field/behind Cooper will be used for field, weather permitting. 
Sunday, March 21st: 
9:00 AM to 3:00 PM              Cooper Gym and Churchill Elementary School field will be used.
 
E License is appropriate for the U10 and older coaches. U10 Coaches should take the "E" License before they coach U11 in the Fall, if they already have taken the "F" module for U10s.   This Training Module is free for MYS coaches - $70 for non MYS coaches - Instructor Tim Lucas.

  • All MYS Members, Volunteers, Coaches and Team Mangers are invited to elect the 2012-2013 members of the Board of Directors. Coach Meetings will follow for MPS/Travel Coaches & Managers in the auditorium and Recreation Coaches & AGCs in the Cafeteria
