The U15 Girls McLean Extreme Gold has been awarded the ODSL Randy Rawls Sportsmanship Award for the fall 2013 season. Each season the coaches in the ODSL vote for a team in their division which exhibits the best sportsmanship.  The prestigious award honors the winner’s sense of fair play.

McLean’s Extreme Gold U15 Team has a good track record winning the sportsmanship award because of the unique dynamic on this team.  The girls love playing soccer and are completely supportive of each other’s role on the team.  This ‘let’s play soccer’ spirit transfers to how they interact with their competitors.  MYS is well-represented by this group of great soccer players.

Technical Director, Clyde Watson, and Director of Coaching, Lucas Cook, extend their congratulations:  “Congrats to Yassi and the entire team. Well done!  This award is a great honor! Receiving it demonstrates this teams understanding of the importance of respecting their opponents and the game while challenging themselves to compete at their highest level on the field. MYS is very proud of our U15G Extreme Gold parents and families. “
