Eagles Players,

Today, you faced a tremendous team in you final regular season game. The results from today’s game were a reflection of your hard work during practices to learn new individual skills and play as a team. In today’s game, both Caroline and Jessica were fabulous in goal and providing direction to players in front of you. The defense was awesome resulting from: Jasmine’s incredible play in the middle and her goal kicks; Vivian’s timely stops and very smart play by filling in gaps whenever a scoring threat surfaced; Adriana’s long clearing kicks and dominance on her side of the field. The midfield play was the best all year through: Ansley’s consistent amazing play creating scoring opportunities through fantastic passing and follow-through; Emma’s hustle and desire to make critical stops and excellent ball clearing to the opposing teams side. The offense play was outstanding. Against a very good defense: Rachael’s goal at the beginning of the game set the tone and increased confidence of the team; Carrie scored two goals by continuing to create opportunities through smart field positioning and break-away speed; Jeni scored the last goal by splitting two defenders and kicking a very hard shot through a small opening (what a fabulous moment!). In addition to the play mentioned above, each of you contributed by playing some positions not of personal liking but was necessary to support the team. Next week, we will be excited to have Caroline and Natalie back to finish up the season.

In closing, your parents and coaches continue to be amazed of your progress, effort and excellent sportsmanship exhibited all year. Congratulations to another fantastic regular season. You are all champions!!!
