ECNL Girls Go Undefeated at Jefferson Cup Tournament

Congrats to the ECNL Girls players and coaches of our 04, 03, 02 and 01/00 teams for finishing their competiton at the Jefferson Cup Girls Showcase Weekend March 22-24 with 12 wins and 1 tie! And congrats to the 02 Girls team for winning the highest bracket of the tournament for a 2nd year in a row.

ECNL Coach Nadir Moumen Named United Soccer Coaches 2018 Youth Coach of the Year

United Soccer Coaches announced the association's 2018 National Coaches of the Year for boys' and girls' youth and high school soccer. Our MYS ECNL Girls Coach, Nadir Moumen, is the recipient of the Youth Coach of the Year award! Congratulation to Coach Moumen on this great honor that is so well-deserved! US Women's National Team & Washington Spirit Player Andi Sullivan Visits Girls ECNL Camp

The MYS Girls ECNL Camp held this week was a huge success! Sessions were led throughout the week by MYS and college coaches from Navy, JMU, Howard, Miami, William and Mary, UCLA, NYU, American, Columbia and Howard. And the players were visited by US Women's National Team and Washington Spirit player Andi Sullivan. The smiles on the girls faces say it all!

 
Girls ECNL National Player of the Year & All-American Team Announced

Congratulations to MYS player Claire Constant for being named the Girls ECNL Player of the Year for the 2017-2018 Season! The Girls ECNL All-American Team was also announced this week with 30 players selected by the Girls ECNL All-America Committee, which included technical representatives from all 8 ECNL conferences across the country. Constant, a defender from our MYS U18/U19 ECNL National Championship team, was one of four MYS players selected for the All-American team. We are so proud of these players!

MYS 99/00 Girls ECNL National Champions

MYS ECNL Girls teams headed to Seattle, WA from June 21-26 to compete in Nationals where our 00/99 defeated Ohio Premier Elite in the finals to win the U18/U19 Girls ECNL National Championship! All of the ECNL players did the MYS program proud and had an amazing post season. Congrats to the 'U15, U16 and U17 teams and coaches for qualifying for the National Showcase and thank you to their families for their continued support!

 
FC Stars, Michigan Hawks, PDA Eclipse Select and More All-In for 2018-19

The Girls Elite Clubs National League is excited to announce that FC Stars, Michigan Hawks, PDA and Eclipse Select SC will be "All-In" clubs in the league in 2018-19. These clubs place the ECNL as the aspirational training and development environment for all female players within the club, and at the top of their competitive pyramid. Total of All-In Girls ECNL Member Clubs Expands

Three more All-In Girls ECNL Member Clubs have been announced for 2018-19 season: Indiana Fire, LA Breakers FC and SUSA FC. The Girls ECNL has announced a total of 13 new member clubs for the 2018-19 season. For more ECNL news check out their member newsletter.

 
ECNL Success at Girls College Showcase
Our ECNL teams that participated in the 2017 Girls College Showcase December 1-3 had amazing performances! The U16, U17 and U18 teams all went undefeated (9-0) and won the top groups in their respective age groups. These teams are currently in the top 10 in the ECNL.

McLean ECNL Player Selected to Best XI

In Portland, Oregon, 90 select players attended the ECNL National Training Camp where players had the opportunity to compete and train with the top coaches in the league. At this camp, Claire Constant, member of the McLean U18 Girls ECNL team, was chosen for the ECNL Best XI and earned an all-expense paid trip to New York City to watch an International Champions Club match, and attend a Bayern Munich and Real Madrid training sessions. Claire was excited about the opportunity, sharing, "It was a great experience -- both to play with a talented pool of soccer players in Portland and then to be selected to travel to New York City with the top XI. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and meeting the players from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid was unbelievable!"

ECNL College Commitments

McLean Youth Soccer (MYS) has a long history of successfully placing players in NCAA Division I collegiate soccer programs. The professional coaching staff has extensive experience both coaching at the college level and aiding youth players in the transition to college. Along with numerous professional contacts, our coaches have an intimate knowledge of the recruiting process.

Not every player may wish to compete at the college level, but we try to prepare and assist those who do in finding the right program to continue their athletic careers.
